6 Steps to Take ‘Guerilla’ Photos of your Children

Keep your camera in an easy to reach spot in the living room (or other target-rich environment). Make sure the batteries are charged, there’s room on the memory card and that your settings are appropriate for shooting portraits indoors.

More and more I see the same nugget of advice in all texts discussing creativity. For photography, keep your camera handy and take pictures. For writing, just write.

It’s all very obvious, but indicative of the barriers we have built for ourselves in this age. At no time has it been easier for us to make things and share them with others. But we often spend our time instead reading about tips or hacks or tools that will make said creativity somehow even easier.

Everything takes time and practice and work. You’d best get started.
